I'm a newbie here and we recently got 8 baby chicks. Two of them are Black Spanish hens, both of these ones are the ones who got sick. The first one got sick yesterday and died tonight. I noticed she was having trouble standing, wasn't eating or drinking water. Every time she would try to drink water she'd fall in. I noticed her gullet was swollen so I looked up some info on here and tried everything from gently massaging it to olive oil. She passed away about an hour ago.
I just went to clean out the brooder and noticed the other black Spanish hen acting feeble in the same way the other one was. I just looked at her and her gullet is extremely swollen, even worse than the other chicks was, and she's barely able to stand, won't eat, and won't drink water.

Any suggestions of what I should do? Can I save her?

To me it seems like whatever is affecting them is spreading. I don't know what your buddies might have but you could try moving the ones who are not sick and isolate them there until you figure out what's happening! Your best bet, if you don't get any useful replies, is to start GOOGLING keywords and looking for quick, concise information to the pages that you visit.
Good luck and I'm sorry this happened to your baby chicks and you.

Thanks for the response. I've been googling all night :(

I removed the sick chick yesterday and then when I noticed the other one was sick tonight I took her out. We just cleaned the brooder and gave them all fresh food an water. I've been cleaning it multiple times per day. All of our other chicks are looking healthy, I will just keep a close eye on them and hope whatever it is doesn't spread.

We just lost the second chick. RIP
