Help! Banding goat gone wrong!

Well our vet tech friend ended up being able to come tonight. He says that what actually happened is we only banded one testicle and it became obvious after the banded one shrunk down. Ugh! I kept checking... and really thought u had both. He gave me a really hard time for not being able to count to two

Anyways, he did exactly as Cassie suggested. Cut above the band and pulled the remaining ball out to neauter. He also cleaned him up really good with iodine to avoid any infection.

He’s now relaxing in my office with me (yes, I know I’m insane for bringing him in the house, but I’m so attached to him!)

Can you feel anything in the scrotum? If it makes you feel any better, I have NEVER heard of the testicles sliding back up out of the band. What you are feeling may not be testicles at all.

Just for the record, I have used the green bands for may years and on some very small goats and I never had an issue. Never.
