My little bantam Cochin girl is almost 8 weeks old.
She seemed perfectly normal yesterday, but today, while she did come out of the coop, she immediately went to her favorite box to sit in.
Her feathers are ruffled, and she doesn’t seem interested in food.
She lives with 25 other chicks of different breeds, but most of them have been together since hatch, and I’ve never seen any of them pick on her.
Any ideas?

I also found this weird thing on their dropping board…

She’s come out to find a sunny spot, but is laying down kinda weirdly…

Okay thank you.
She just passed.
I will try to find some Corrid to give everyone else.

I can only find Corid for calves.
Is that okay?

Sorry for your loss. Yes, that is the Corid you want and it is also for chickens. Dosage is 2 tsp (10 ml) into each gallon of water given as the only water source for 5-7 days. You may also give some undiluted Corid orally 0.1 ml per pound of weight as a boost or jumpstart once or twice a day. Since you lost a bird, I would then give it for another 5 days at 1/4 of the dose. Change the water daily since the chickens can contaminate the treated water.
If you get the powder Corid, dosage is 1.5 tsp per gallon of water. Make sure that all bedding is dry and clean, so stir it often, and add new bedding as needed.

often times i will put corid in their water. Because I'd rather be safe than be sorry again.
