My Bantam can hold its head up straight. But it won't. It keeps holding it completely sideways and turning it backwards and everything and won't stop like it's messed up. I don't know what to do. It's shaking and chirping like something is wrong. It's usually a very docile and calm. But now it's freaking out. I don't think it's neck is broken exactly... But I Don't know. Please help:(

That looks like wry neck or encephalomalacia. It is probably a vitamin deficiency, but head injury, or heredity can play a part too. Give her vitamins—thiamine (B1,) vitamin E, and some cooked egg for selenium which helps the E be utilized. Make sure that she can get enough to eat and drink.

Mix some chick feed in a small cup, and add a lot of water to make it goopy. Add a small amount of chopped egg. Hold her guiding her beak to the mixture every 2-3 hours.

Thank you so much these are my babies so I was very worried.

Don't worry, it can be fixed! I just did this with a 6 week old Salmon Faverolle. It takes time and TLC but complete recovery is definitely possible. You may have to hand feed for a couple weeks, and give her water with an eye dropper. I also gave her Polyvisol, which is a liquid vitamin for infants, I did 4 drops twice a day for about 3 weeks. Mine made total recovery and is back with her buddies, like nothing ever happened. But you do need to keep her separate from the others, or else they will pick on her. Good luck, do not give up hope!

Thank you! I put her in a box beside them so she doesn't get lonely. I put a cup of water she can reach and I put her food mixture in there in a jar lid so she can eat it laying down which seemed to be working when I walked away! I just hope for a quick recovery.

Just keep an eye to make sure she is able to eat and drink enough, she needs to get enough vitamin E and selenium to help heal the wry neck. Mine couldn't eat or drink on her own for about 7-8 days at least, but thankfully she ate well when I was hand feeding her. Also if you have chicken electrolyte/vitamin mix to put in the water, that would be helpful too. My baby kept laying on her head when she was sleeping, so I ended up propping her up with rolled up washcloths, so her head was in a normal position when she slept. It would still wind up underneath her sometimes, but not always.
The key to recovery is the vitamin E and selenium (which is present in cooked egg) and I think the polyvisol helped too.

So far she eats well by herself but I just tried to give her water and I think that's where my problem will be. It looked like she had difficulty with it. So I will set alarms so I can go give her water properly and make sure she is still eating.
