Help! Bare butt!

My Buff Orpington is losing her feathers on her rear end and tummy. She has red spots and dome of the feathers look like they broke off. We have dusted her for lice thinking that might be the problem.

This picture was actually taken a week ago and it has only gotten worse. She seems to be eating and drinking and has the same energy as the rest of the flock. Any suggestions?

I've known some chickens that peck each others feathers. We stopped them by putting grease on the wound so the others won't peck. Maybe this is your problem. Hope it helped!

If that doesn't seem like the problem, you are probably right about the lice.
