Help!!! My chicken injured her beak while running from my neighbors dog šŸ˜¢ is this and? How to heal?! What to do! First time chicken owner. Sheā€™s super lethargic now and squatting. Sheā€™s also almost abo to lay her first egg so I donā€™t know if thatā€™s part of it too. Any tips are super appreciated.

It may be very painful for a few days. Hopefully, it is not badly injured, but could heal with time. Keeping her eating and drinking is important. Mushy wet feed, in a bowl changed often would be good. Sometimes beaks can be mended with an empty tea bag cut to shape, and superglue. If her beak is broken, an avian vet would be best. Is she past the lethargy and squatting or still doing that?
Is she pooping?

She pooped fine last night. I just checked on her and sheā€™s no longer lethargic or squatting. She did try to peck at some seeds and food on the soil this morning. She still whimpers from pain and isnā€™t ready to compete for food among the flock but I made some mushy food for her and she ate a bit of that too.
