Help. Black necrotic area below vent.

I have the same exact problem(his vent looks exactly the same) but this is a rooster(8 months old)and his is medium sized prolapsed.
I have been soaking 3x a day for 3 days and it’s still the same
Nothing comes off and the vent won’t be pushed in(too hard)
I have been using Vaseline and anti biotic cream.
He eats,poops and drinks ok
Also not lethargic.
Not over crowded or picking by others.
I will keep doing what I’m doing but wondering what it is or what caused it.
