HELP! bleeding hatching duckling!!

Greetings from Colorado.

It's so dry here, I have to assist most hatchlings if they don't zip with 24 hours of the pip. I found the directions on here. I just use a q tip with coconut oil and a tiny drill bit.

I stop if the egg membrane starts to bleed, but it's saved many chicks and ducklings and poults to coat the dried shrink wrapped membrane with coconut oil after opening the shell a bit more.

I have one out and the assist done on the other 4 eggs already so 5 here as well!
