oh no im so sorry! im dealing with an emergency myself so im hanging on here until i can get a reply. im pretty sure that she/he wont live as long as you hope because of obvious and invisible health problems. try isolating and feeding it extra food, feeding it lots of scrambled eggs and putting electrolytes in his water. Other than that i havent seen this before and im not sure what to do. How many other chicks are there?

Have you tried to put ointment on it’s eyes? They may just have junk dried on them that’s preventing it from opening its eyes.

Put its food and water in the same place every day in the brooder and gently guide it to those places hourly until it knows where to go.

I have an albino quail chick that’s blind and it’s learned how far the food and waterer are from the brooder plate. It just requires a ton of patience and kindness to help them learn.

Make sure to keep it with its hatch mates because it can still hear and that will help it a lot to learn where to go. When something loses vision, it’s other senses become stronger.

I have 23 chicks in total 9 with this batch and 5 with another hen and them 2 are in together (so 14 that hang together ) Mothers are getting on pretty ok after an initial battle to make sure they settled together They mind all the chicks

UPDATE :) NEWSFLASH I once was blind but now i see..... Thank you

I gently washed out the chicks eyes with a homemade saline solution.. I did this several times using cotton buds..... and it has opened both eyes... I feel so stupid that I didnt try this sooner but I was afraid ... Now I have learned a new thing and I am so grateful that the baby chick can see... :) THANKS

I just adopted a blind pullet today. I realize the problem is fixed now, yay!
I will keep a close eye on it and make sure it continues to make progress I will also double check all the other little ones to be sure. I also had to laugh tonight when i went t fetch the chick... my 2 hens are in side by side pens and one had 9 chicks and the other 5 Now they both have 7 under them ,, but they are happy out and i cant tell which is which so I left them alone :)
