Could the air flow be why the havenāt hatched (itās day 23)You might need to make a couple minor adjustments to the temp setting, but once you get it set it should stay pretty consistant. It will probably effect your humidity more than your temperature. But there are ways to fix that (filling more water wells if you have them, a sponge in a bowl of water, etc). The air flow is extremely important though.![]()

The chick has hatched but there is blood on its end and Iām afraid it was too earlyIt could be. But it could also be the eggs, malpositions, or nutrition of the flock the eggs came from. There are so many variables. If I remember right (it has been 3 years since I had those 3 bad hatches with the vent plugs in), I think most of the ones that hatched in those batches were days 21-23. I'd give your eggs until at least day 25 and then candle for signs of life before calling it quits on the remaining eggs. If you try again, definitely come join us over on a hatch-a-long! Basically a chat thread, but lots of questions asked and answered as well as lots of encouragement and fun! Lots of very knowledgeable people there. I've learned a lot just being on the hatch-a-long threads! Keep me posted on this hatch though! Hopefully with your safety holes and removing the vent plugs you will end up with some chicks.
