HELP (!!) breaking unexpected broody with limited resources

Update: It only took her a couple of days to stop her broody behavior. I didn't have to use the cage. When the other three were done laying for the day, I closed the coop and at night I blocked the nest box.
However...I've only gotten one egg a day for the last three days - one brown, two green. Not sure who, except that I know my BR hasn't laid in the past two days even though she's sat in the nest box (not for a long time, either time). I felt her belly and she seems to have an egg ready, but does not appear distressed.
Could Buffy's puffed up broody behavior coupled with the removal of the golf balls from the nest (I returned them this morning) have stressed them out enough to cause a break in laying?
