Hi. I have a mixed flock. Two roosters, one is a silkie and one is a RIR. These are the four chicks we have hatched. Hens are RIR, Golden Comet, Americana, Barred Rock. I know the yellow with the darkest marks is from our Americana and I think the grey is our barred rock. But not sure at all. Help please?

I think the black is a black sexlink pullet.

We do have black sexlink hens but they are just starting to lay so I guess it is possible but im not sure they wete laying when we set the eggs

If your RIR rooster bred the barred rock hen the black chick could be their baby (a baby sex link pullet).

The father of the black one is our silkie I think. It has 5 toes

If the mother is the barred rock the chick is a pullet.

So my little black chick is a pullet. You can tell by the color I assume. It has the furry legs and 5 toes of our silkie and I believe mom is our Barred Rock. I wish I could tell the sex of the other ones too. Thank you for all your answers

My silkie roo is white. Can that mess up the sexing by color?
