It may take 2 or 3 days for those ducklings to get out. The more you interfere, the more likely they are to die. I wish you the best. Sit on your hands, and watch the show from a distance.

Agreed, hatching is nerve wracking but it's best to be patient...

I don't mess up any more. I just open the door on a maternity ward where she sits and leave her food and water. I can see the nest from the door. only 1 egg is broken (the 1 I found yesterday). but she is often on her feet, I hope due to heat.

UPDATE: I didn't kill the duckling!

it was the 1st to hatch! there are still about 3 eggs to hatch.
