HELP BROKEN OR DISLOCATED FOOT

With the watering situation I put mine on top of a plastic container. Was so happy when I checked in them half an hour later and there was still water in the dish and the shaving weren't soaked.

I used one similar to this last year and put it on an old metal tray I have had for years worked great.

So I made a new waterer out of a milkjug. I dipped both their heads into it and the larger one gets it. The injured one does not seem to be drinking much. She seems to be VERY sleepy. Just holding her near the water her head was dipping in and her eyes were closing. And holding her in my arms she would just close her eyes and her head would almost fall lifelessly. Any body?? I'm having a super hard time with getting the Niacin into her I think. Could it be too hot in the cage?

I'm also told that the Flush Free Niacin (Inositol Hexanicotinate) is the WRONG kind?! Is this true?

Okay I got the regular Niacin but I have a question, it seems the particles sink to the bottom of the water is it still going to be effective?

Mix as best you can then give them a smaller container to drink out of till you see your lil one making progress then you can go back to reg waterer. using warm water may help getting it dissolved better. did you get tablets or capsules. Did you ever figure out you brooder temps?

I got the tablets, it was all they had. I'm going to figure out a smaller waterer. I had a smaller one but they just kept knocking it over. I also put brewers yeast on their food. Fingers crossed. My themometer broke and I haven't gotten a new one yet but the light was too hot, I know it from past experiences with chicks. So I moved it up quite a bit. I was just so worried because she was so terribly tired. I didn't know what to do or if there was something else wrong

Okay, so I've been doing some research. About at the beginning of this whole ordeal I noticed that there was some bright green stool in the cage. I looked it up couldn't find much. Then I noticed that the littler one was beginning to almost quack when she was chirping and in at least the last two days she has had very loose stool that just shoots out. I Googled this, is it possible she may be sick with something like Duck Viral Enterisits? She has been living with the other duck for a long while now and the other girl doesn't seem to be sick. I now need to know what to do I'm just lost.

I'm stumped as to how she could have caught it. did you read my post I did look up the disease you asked about the antibiotic. it's not uncommon for ducks to have so many different kinds and colors of poop and it can shoot out believe me. you asked about the antibiotic to treat this and it said Penicillin, I'm not doubting you as to something is probably wrong just think only a vet could give proper diagnosis. but maybe a round of Pen. would be in order it just messes up their digestive track so probiotics should be given to help with that. Have you noticed any change since you raised the heat lamp?
