Hello, Thank you for reading.

I've checked up on my broody bantam (currently sitting on eggs

) today, who had black spots on her comb, which is paler than normal. I didn't notice them this morning.
Her comb is not waxy or bright. On another website it said it is a sign of circulation problems/dead tissue/heart disease? We have tried giving her exercise but she just stands still.
Suggestions please, I am quite worried. Picture attached.

It really looks like the black spots could be fowl pox. Nothing that can really be done about it but just watch the spots to make sure it does not turn into wet pox.

When was the last time this hen was wormed? I see that you are in the UK and many use Flubenvet for worming but for a good pick me up for the girl try some poultry spice.

The above site offers Verm-X as a wormer

You can do a search to find suppliers of the Flubenvet

Now the nature of a broody hen is to protect those eggs no matter what and in her present state you might as well be mr. Fox coming to call as she sees you as a predator. Do not put food or water close and this will encourage her to get off the nest and forage for her feed plus get some excercise. The closer you get the tighter that she will try to stick to the nest. Watch her from a vantage point far away like from the house and you will probably see her get off the nest.

Thank you!
We put some poultry spice on her food yesterday. I think I might need to look into worming her as I don't think we have wormed our chickens but occasionally put
apple cider vinegar (I think) into their water. Will look into it.

Thanks again
