How does the candling work exactly? Without touching or removing the egg-that is?

This is the only decent picture I have gotten of them. Momma is very protective to them, but seems happy when I give her another one.

I think I'm up to 7 babies, and since I opened the door, I have 2 hens who want to be momma. Momma 1 is not so happy sharing her babies.

My 2 hens have decided to co-parent, at least part time, one of the hens left the babies tonight to sit on the eggs again.
