I just got tested for NPIP and while holding my gobbler I noticed lil whiteish or clear bugs all over his head. What are these? I forgot to mention it to the tester. Should I give him a call back? Is it lice and should I be worried about them getting on me? What can I do to treat it.

Most likely they are lice and can be eliminated with sevin dust. I know nothing about turkey's. That being said, I dont know if you have to dust the whole bird but I suppose you would...just like a chicken. Redust in 10 days to kill nits that have hatched since the first dusting. If you have other birds, I'd inspect them as well along with their nesting/roost areas and dust in the same manner. Lice are species specific and cannot survive off its host and will eventually die.
Whether you inform the NPIP tester or not, is your decision.
If I were in your shoes, I would call him and let him know what happened and what actions you are taking to eliminate the problem and plan to follow up with retreatments as necessary. Good luck.

It has to be the 5% Sevin dust, not the 10%. One easy was to apply it it to make a "powder puff" from some stocking/hose and "pouf" them all over, especially under the wings. Another was is to use an empty Parmesan cheese or spice shaker bottle.
