Help! Can only find 17% starter

We have two feed stores and both sell 17% protein chick starters. The starter I received from McMurrary is 22% and is all but gone. Babies are two weeks old now. Is 17% all right or do I need to pay the outragious shipping fees at McMurray and order more from them?

Honestly I've never paid attention to that! What is the reasoning you can't use 17% if it says chick starter on the bag?

My Uncle, who has always had chickens, told me that he skips the 20% starter and goes straight to 15% grower/finisher... and never uses 16% layer. He said he has never had a problem keeping his birds on 15% grower for their entire lifetimes, and they lay nice eggs for him.
