Haha! Yikes!! The thought has occurred to me and I don't think my husband got why I was so irritated when he automatically closed the latch on me when I was in the run......well he says it was a mistake hmmmm.....

I usually don't worry too much about feather pulling between hens until it's extreme - or bloody. Sometimes that's just part of the pecking order. But if you do want to settle her down, removing her for a day or two would mess up her place in the order pretty good--and maybe humble her.

I usually respray if the stuff wears off, and the others start pecking as a result. That mean hen may have forgotten about his toosh by the time it wears off and you won't have to respray.
