Help! Cat attacked chick!

2 week old baby chick got attacked by a cat. I got to it within seconds and there is a single fang puncture wound on her side, towards the leg. I followed all the advice and separated her from other chicks, cleaned and treated the wound with Neosporin.

Question: how do I give antibiotic to a baby chick and what dosage? Thank you so much for your help, I hope she makes it!

Update: it’s been over 12 hours, she is walking as normal, eating, and seems pretty chipper. I’m treating the wound twice daily. What signs should I look out for to know if she needs antibiotics?

Keep it clean and treat it everyday make sure she or he is acting normal if lethargic then maybe antibiotics

The puncture wounds from cat bites are deep enough to warrant systemic antibiotics—the topical Neosporin may not reach the entire infected site.

Not much blood loss at all, stopped it right away. I’m giving her Sav-a-chick water, like the rest of my babies..,

Do you have tablets or capsules? If it is capsules, you can probably mix a cap into a certain amount of water and offer that.
