HELP! CAT HUNTING FOR MY DUCK!

This night when I came home, I saw a cat near my neighbors house running around and my duck was running free. I got scared and quickly put the duck away. While he was in his cage, I saw the cat wandering around my backyard I’m afraid the cat is going to come back tommorow night while i’m not home. I’m planning to put my duck away before I leave the house. But any solutions? Really don’t want the cat to attack my duck I’m afraid the cat can come back during daytime too while i’m not home. Thanks

Do you think it's a feral cat? I don't have ducks and my cats will catch birds but they don't bother the chickens. I've even accidentally trapped a cat in the coop over night (more then once). I suspect cats could be an issue especially if it's feral. But I don't have any suggestions other then trapping the cat or keeping the duck in a secure run.

I see, but fortunately he runs around in a part of the back yard like in a area. But we have non blocked gates fences (most of the gate in the area is covered by trees) but will the cat attack him? thanks

Don't know. My cat flocks with the ducks. He and the ducks seem to have a good relationship. They enjoy each other and hang out together. But that's my cat. Can't speak for others.
