Help!!! Chick going down with injured legs!!!

So this morning my sister pulled out the the chicks and said that my standard Cochin had a broken leg. I pulled her out and one leg has a broken feel and she won’t stand on it I think it’s broken it’s swollen in the bending joint in the middle but up by the hip it feels snapped! It just kind of hangs. Just recently she went down on both legs but the one that she just now went down on that she was standing doesn’t feel snapped I think she’s just tired. She is 5 days old and no I haven’t dropped it and it was fine yesterday. I don’t really know what happened. What can I do for her or is it just the facts? Please help

Get a qtip and vet wrap to create a splint. You can add some liquid or powdered calcium to the water or dust it over meal worms.

He’s doing worse it’s like he doesn’t even have legs!!!!????

First you need to make sure what is wrong with her legs, before trying splinting or leg hobbles. A hobble should only be used for splay legs, where the legs are too far apart. Has she been getting around normally eating and drinking out of the feeders and drinkers? You may want to do some research on slipped tendons, since that may occur in one leg and cause a swollen and irritated hock joint. Other problems can be a leg bone deformity, a vitamin deficiency, but she may have been injured as well. I would start her on some chick vitamins with riboflavin (B2) listed on the label. Baby liquid vitamins polyvisol without iron can also be used. Here is some reading about slipped tendons:

A chick chair or sling can be made by you to hold her up off the floor in front of food and water, to rest her leg. A sock with holes for her legs and a poop hole in back is good. Here are some examples of slings and chairs:
