Im currently hatching local duck eggs which take 28 days to complete. Im on day 23 and noticed that 3 eggs have movements on the inner membrane. Looks like beak trying to poke the membrane. But its only day 23 and I thhink this is gonna be a early hatch?? I turned all of em today morning as im only on the 23rd day when lockdown is still 2 days away and noticed this. Should I turn back the eggs into its original position???? Really worried. 3 out of the 6 eggs are like this the other 3 are normal

I would say if the chick looks like it poked through the internal air sack, you will be safe locking them down now. You may have some early ducklings :D
It's not yet poked. It moves around the airsac as if it gonna poke soon. I turned the eggs as usual as its only day 23. But after turning realised 3 of em showd like its poking so i turned it back to how it was. So s would that be any issue?

Thank you & Fingers crossed🤞
Ive got 2 others with it but it hasn't shown signs of pipping internal. Its airsac is normal. Im still 2 days away from lockdown. So if i lockdown today will it affect the other two??
Ah I see, I would say give it one more day, than lockdown. They are showing signs that they will hatch soon. I wish you the best of luck! And update me when they start hatching. :p

I mean again if it shows signs of pipping internally yes, it is okay to start now. But waiting another day won't hurt either, ducks do tend to hatch earlier sometimes, I have had a duck hatch at day 22 super amazing, But anyway do what you want, I would say start it at the latest tomorrow. :thumbsup

So I opened the incubator again

To turn 2 of the eggs as they haven't internally pipped yet and its still 2 days from lockdown. I could hear tapping sounds which I believe is the ones internally pipped trying to pip externally. But I hear no chirping. So I assume the chirping should happen once the external pip is done?

You heard tapping sounds, while you we're holding the egg? That would be signs of a external pip. I would say put them on lockdown now, have you seen any pips in any of the eggs yet? If you sit there for a while and listen just maybe you may hear some chirping. also have you seen the eggs waddle?

Yes. I opened the incubator to turn the non pipped ones and accidentally lifted the one which had internally pipped. At that moment I felt it tapping on the shell and quickly kept it back and filled the water to increase the humidity.
I din keep it out very long to which I could hear any chirps.

Neither there is any signs of external pips like a crack or hole. I assume that its starting the pipping process and should be expecting a pip anytime now or by tomorrow. And no waddling yet. Cant see much as mine is DIY bator without a viewing window.

Feeling it tap is a huge sign of pipping. This is kind of making me excited Haha. What I would do is leave the eggs be until the morning than peak in there to see if any have pipped, because you felt the duckling tapping inside the egg shows huge signs that it is ready, I would be surprised if one doesn't pip tonight.
