HELP!! Chick hatching!

Good evening, Peeps, It is 8pm, Hawaii time. I just got home. The eggs are still under the heat lamp, but the one that at 7 am yesterday morning, and made the hole a little bit bigger lastnight, has not progress since. AT ALL. Am I cooking these poor things? Are they freezing to death? Should I try to assist? Please help! I've been watching videos and reading articles, but there is so many different theories out there!

Generally if they haven't made progress for 24 hours after they have pipped, I start an assist. Not a bad idea in this case, since we don't know for sure what the temperature is, and also the humidity is probably pretty low under the heat lamp.

I know you read my article, so I would go as far as removing the shell over the air cell and applying coconut oil to membrane and then see where the chick is at as far as absorbing.

Thank you for replying! I would like to assist! I feel no movement, and hear no sounds coming from the egg. Also, do I start removing the shell where it pipped? When I candle it, it does look like that is the air cell.

also, @Pyxis going back thru your article, I cannot tell if the chick has internally pipped. I believe this is the air cell, and this is what it looks like

The pic above shows me candling the egg. that hole was made in three attempts by the chick, and I have not had any noise or movement since lastnight. The pipping started at 7am on 05/09, so it has been about 40 hours

ok, so I found the air sack, used the hole that the chick pipped, and started to remove the shell from here. Looks like the chick did internally pip, as I can see the his beak. I oiled the membrane with pure coconut oil. I'm afraid that I have not gotten any movement, and no sound. I think that it is dead, but how can I be sure? I've never done this before! Should it be moving? Should it be making noise? What do I do now? I can't but it under the heat light, I think it's too hot. I have it, shell side down, on the heating pad, right next to me, right now.

The bottom picture is when I first opened up the shell. Looks like there are still some veins and yolk to be absorbed, but it looks very, very, dry. I do think that the heat lamp was too hot. The top pic is after I oiled the membrane. I oiled it anyway, if there is any chance that this little one could come to life!! Any input??
