HELP!! Chick hatching!

No movement isn't a good sign :( If you touch the chick and it doesn't move, likely it has passed away. I'm sorry :hugs

Good morning, Peeps! Yes, I gave it until this morning, just in case. But still, no sound and no movement, and chick feels like shes getting hard. :hit We really tried, and will be MUCH better prepared next time. I still have one egg in there, but I'm pretty sure that the conditions are not right for hatching. :th

Hi, so the first chick with the wrecked shell, didn't make the shell. The one that pipped on his own, is the one I just opened tonight No sound, no movement. I have one more egg in the box that is suspect. :hit
Aww, i’m sorry to hear.. like @Pyxis said, it’s not a good sign. You certainly did everything you could, and i hope the last one will hatch..

Good morning to you (it’s 9.30pm over here in The Netherlands).
I hope you see movement or can hear the chick..
I think it’s important to keep it warm and moist at the same time (like others said earlier).
I assisted a couple of times myself, and also kept it warm with my breath.
Where do you keep the egg now?

Aloha from Hawaii, Nathliexx! I still had it in the box, under the heat lamp, with water sources all around, but not wetting the egg. The last one could also be from ANY time, so I don't have too much hope for it. Still, I'm not ready to give up, just yet.
Thank you for following this thread, and for the advice and comments! I really do appreciate it!
:love

Yes hugs from me as well.

I'm so sorry the odds weren't great for them. You did all that you could.

Be careful to find all hidden nest or this could continue to happen.

Thank you! Yes, we will be moving closer to town this summer, and I am already making a coop at the new place. They girls will still be free range, but I am hoping that they will only lay in their new coop!

Hey everybody! I still have one more egg under the heat lamp. No pipping, no sounds. I don't have much hope for this one. Should I wait longer, or just call it a day?

I'm also going to be starting a new thread, to ask advice on my new coop. Any help will be valued and appreciated! :bow:bow:bow:thumbsup
