Easiest way is to pour a small pile of cornstarch on a paper plate or paper towel then gently dip the butt into the pile a couple times and it will stick where it needs versus getting it all over the place but where you need it by trying to sprinkle. If you can make the room dark enough so that the others hatching can't see the blood and peck at it while waiting for blood to stop. If you have a separate brooder where the baby can dry up and heal away from others even better. Depending if any flesh came off or not this may or may not work. But I've had good results with a pretty heavy bleeder. By day 2 you could never know except for very tiny scab. Good luck
