Ok so I've had a terrible time with this little chick, she was fine in the store and on the ride home but ever since being sat in the brooder she has been lethargic and droopy. On day one she would hardly open her eyes and was slow whenever she tried to peck something, she would usually peck once then give up. I basically force fed her some chick feed with grit and a little strawberry, and then some ACV water in a dropper. I dipped her beak in the waterer several times and she definitely didn't like that. Day two I brought her in and fed her two droppers full of water and introduced her to egg yolk and

Hallelujah! she ate it on her own greedily and even fought other chicks for the left overs once back in the brooder. So now she's moving around more and scratching but the little bugger has yet to drink from the waterer I've been going out occasionally and giving her water from the dropper but she needs to drink on her own can anyone offer some advice as to what is up with this chicka?

Keep on dipping her beak in the waterer. I think if she gets thirsty she'll get a drink as long as she knows were the waterer is. Also, try just setting her next to the waterer and maybe then she'll take a drink. This advice is assuming she is strong enough to walk. I hope you figure it out!

Yes she is strong enough to walk and apparently run from my hand now lol, but I will just be persistent and keep dipping her little beak until she gets the idea.

Update on the chick!
The little girl is now eating and drinking on her own, it just took some persistence and time.
