Help chick missing skin on back of head!!

Does anyone know what I could use to make the skin stronger once the wound has healed as I have just read that large wounds can open up when they are growing as the skin is stretched

I used sugar on a wound and it healed wonderfully. The honey should do the same.

Something about the granules giving the skin something to grip to. (I'm sure there is a medical term for that.)
