HELP! Chick not hatching!!

Looks good. Just make sure it’s not too gooey wet around the beak and nostrils. You can dab around it with a dry q-tip.

What breed are these pretty eggs?!?
We are not 100% positive, as they came from a nearby farm. However we know that the roosters are purebred french copper marans, so we could get some 1st and 2nd gen. olive eggers :)

Blood vessels were all dried up this morning, so I chipped away more around the bottom, applied more coconut oil, and am hoping chickie will push the rest of the way out. He/she was still chirping and was trying to kick itself out when I put it back in the bator. The picture was taken right before I decided to chip a little more away, so it doesn’t show everything

If the blood vessels are dried up should you go ahead and take him all the way out?
Can you see any unabsorbed yolk?

Looks like that one maybe didn’t lose enough moisture. It’s pretty much impossible for them to all be perfect! Lol Glad it’s getting close now though.
I suspect it will be a little gooey with thick glue-like fluid when it pushes out. Make sure the beak is clear, and the nostrils, then the rest will be able to be brushed off when it dries up more.

I wouldn’t suggest pulling it out all the way yet. It will push when it’s ready. Or if it’s struggling, then it can be helped further
