Yes, it should be fine to hatch on its own but isn't quite ready yet. It needs time to finish absorbing the yolk and blood vessels. Since the shell is open it would be a good idea to get a q-tip and gently apply some antibiotic ointment without pain relief to the exposed membrane so that it doesn't dry out, just avoid the mouth when doing this.

It is doing better! It absorbed more of the yolk and I can't see so many veins anymore! It is 100% more lively and always protests when I dampen It’s membrane

The chick isn't shrink wrapped.

Everything you see going on is completely normal.

Generally a chick that fails to zip within 24 - 48hrs is either stuck, or weak. I assist if no progress is made.

In rare instances I've had chicks take 3 days to start zipping, so it's not always an emergency.

No.. I didn't want to name it in case it died. But It is looking very good. So it's maybe time to name it! I would like a unique name but I would like to avoid the name Lucky
