View attachment 1769607 View attachment 1769609 Hi everyone, I have a chick that keep's scratching her neck and don't knew what to do.
I have tried raping her neck to stop her from scratching..... But that did not work.
I tried a silver spray that seal's the wound again it did not work. any Idea's?? PLEASE help!!!

She is out with 4 others so we used no peck and the Ingredients are: Sweet almond oil,
Calendula oil, tea tree, aloe vera oil, Vitamin E ( Tocophery acetate ).

She acts fine.
What breed is this chick supposed to be?

Have you looked at the skin very well and underneath the feathers for lice/mites?
She has some scabs/wounds on the neck, is that from her scratching or could it be from others picking at her?

What do you feed your chick?

I would start with applying a triple antibiotic ointment to the scabs. Give her some poultry vitamins that contain E, A and the B's. Poultry Cell would be a good choice for this.

She could be suffering from some type of skin condition, it's very hard to know. I would keep her near the other chicks, but protected just in case they have plucked her bald. Place her in a wire dog kennel with her own food/water.
If it's warm where you are, then you need to keep flies off her too so they don't leg eggs in those sores and cause more problems.

Welcome to BYC!
Have you check for mites and lice? I think if she were mine I might try an ointment with cortisone, and I would probably mix it with a little Neosporin too.
