Help! Chick with broken leg? .Should I just let it heal?..Pictures

Chick died. Out of its misery,and mine. I have now gotten a poultry vet that will travel to my house. $$$$$ But its worth it.

I am sorry it did not make it.

You are very blessed to have a poultry vet.
My regular vet will help me out with meds but that is all that is
available here. I have even done crop surgery myself. We do what we
have to for our chickens.

I know this thread is old and I am sorry you lost your chickie! My kids just hatched chicks and one is identically injured to the photos you posted. I tried the bandaid remedy, but it made the joint injury worse. I believe there is actually a break in the joint and it appears that it is about to break the skin after my failure with the bandaids. I really want to save this chick as it is my kids first hatch. I have thought about trying to pull the bones back to the normal place and wrapping with vet wrap but I am afraid that will be too much stress on the chick. He is eating and drinking but does seem to be in a little pain over the leg. Any suggestions from anyone would help!
