so yesterday i saw one of my 2 week old chicks limping pretty bad. the next day i found him on his back and now he's worse. i almost want to say hes parelized in both legs. he doesnt move them much and their pretty much limp. and his toes curve in. he crawls to the food and water but my parents want to put him down but if he has a chance ill do anything. ive looked up leg injuries and the only thing that popped up was spradle legs which im sure he doesnt have. he is in a large pen inside my coop with his 9 siblings and his 2 moms. im thinking one of the moms might have stepped on him and broke his leg?...i dont have any idea how to save this chick please any ideas would be apperatated

This spring, one of my Cuckoo Marans chicks, several weeks old, broke her leg. I wrapped the leg in gauze, braced it with 2 popsicle sticks that I'd cut to fit her leg, one on each side, and then wrapped the leg and popsicle sticks with waterproof tape. It worked just fine. Can't even tell which hen it is, now. Kept the brace on for about 3 weeks.
