awesome news luke!!!! what a brilliant outcome so far. The chick looks very bright eyed and happy in all of your pictures! You have done an amazing job.

She/he? will live a very happy life if the stump doesnt get infected... it won't know what life was ever like with 2 legs! It won't know that it can't scratch! It will poke around with it's beak and make do!

Keep the updates coming

You should take comfort in the fact that you did EVERYTHING you could possibly do to help it, and I'm sure it was made more comfortable with your efforts and love.

thanks for all of the support guys
feeling better now,
got 2 broodies, with 5 eggs under each of them.
under one i have my own flocks eggs,
and under the other one i have: 2 marans eggs, 1 buff orpington, 1 barred japanese bantam and one cornish egg.
i put them under her on wednesday, and the other one got the eggs the wednesday before that.
so atleast i've got something good going on.

luke.
