Hi I have 5 4 month old gold sex link chickens. I have only had them for two months and one has began laying still waiting on the others. They have a coop with a run they can freely access any time and I also let them free range the backyard whenever I am home. My problem is I came home from work 2 days ago and let my chickens out and one walked sluggishly to the corner of my patio and just sat down. I went out a little later to check on them and she was still sitting there with her mouth open, not breathing hard, eyes slowly closing occasionally. I was worried so I gave them all fresh water with ice cubes (which she only took a sip of) and I through some scratch into the run which all the other chickens excitedly ate but she just walked to the corner of the coop and stood staring at the wall. I also noticed that her ear lobe was getting a little white. I was worried of heat exhaustion so I but a couple frozen water bottles in the coop (the sun was going down and it was getting cooler anyways) and I let the girls go to bed. The next morning I checked on the girls and they were all fine running around eating pooping on my patio I was sure it had just been a little heat exhaustion. I left for work that morning and when I got home again she was acting lethargic not following the flock around, hiding in the corner, and eyes slowly opening and closing and the white on her ear lobe got bigger. Now I am really worried because yesterday was not a hot day like the first was. It was cloudy all day and had scattered showers. I went to bed last night worried about her but again this morning she is walking around fine eating and drinking hanging with the flock but ear lobe is still white. Anyone have any idea what it could be. I have searched all over BYC and couldn't find anyone with the same problems. Please help I am worried.

Is it possible she has an ear infection? What do you think? If you suspect that you can try an antibiotic and see if it cures up the issue. I wish you the best and hope your bird is well soon.
