Can I incubate them together? Because I have some chickens eggs of my own plus some duck eggs from a friend. I know the humidity should be a little higher for ducks but I was hoping I could toss some chicken eggs in with them.

Thanks, Grant.

I am incubating Ducks, Chickens and Geese all together but I have a seperate hatcher.

I don't have ducks, but I do know that duck eggs take longer than 21 days to hatch. I think it's a week longer, but don't quote me on that.

Hopefully someone experienced in duck hatching will post for you. So here's a bump.

I incubate them together, but use a different incubator to hatch them in. But I suppose you could hatch them together. You would just have to put the duck eggs in about 7 days before the chicken eggs, since duck eggs take around 28 days depending on the breed.

Duck eggs take 28 days to hatch. If you don`t have a seperate hatcher, like namble, you can simply put the chicken eggs in the bator 7 days after you start the duck eggs.........Pop

How about goose eggs? I have 2 Sebastapol goose eggs (arrived yesterday, long story). Can I incubate them with chicken eggs? I have many chicken eggs to put in as well, considering yet another incubator to make it all work!

This will work in incubators with a fan.
Bad idea if still air incubator, remember top of egg temp 101, hard to do with different size eggs...

Can hatch duck and chicken at same time, duck take 7 days longer. People worry to much about the chicks moving the duck eggs around after hatching, no problem ,heck they just turn them for you

Duck eggs do need higher humidity, just raise it when chicken eggs are at 18 days, then leave it there the last week for the duck.

You have a still air incubator? they dont work to well on large eggs, even if thats only eggs in them
