Help, chicken attacked by dog.

Yeah, decided not to cover it because i was worried the gauze would stick. I sprayed it with the wound spray then sat and petted her for a couple of minutes. It started drying pretty quickly. Then i just started gobbling the neosporin on. I went for more is better because i didn’t want to rub too much. I’ve added an updated pic about two hours after the neosporin. She’s eating more and I’m hoping still drinking. I haven’t seen her drink since this morning. But she did it so I’m assuming she still is. It’s gone from a pink color to a more flesh color since yesterday.

I think she is drinking. I watched her this morning. But i haven’t seen it since then. She knows where the water is but there isn’t a lot missing. I could try again with a syringe but i don’t know. She ate really good and then stopped. So i don’t know if she’s full.

I know this is super fattening for most hens, but have you tried boiling some raman without the flavoring added? That has water in it, maybe you could convince her to eat some 'worms' and use the treat as a way to sneak in some extra fluids?

You are giving her moistened food? This may account for not drinking as much. Just watch her to see how she is doing. She looks alert in the latest photos.

You're doing good, so I really wouldn't change anything you are doing at this time:)

Thanks. She is very alert now. After i put on the neosporin, i saw her try to preen her back feathers. Which is surprising with her neck being so raw. So it must make her more comfortable.

So i checked on her this morning. She was drinking. Yeah. I sprayed her again and gooped on more neosporin. But i noticed when i put her back in the box she was going over some over feathers. Then made a eating noise. What happen if she eats some of the neosporin. It does drip a little because i put so much on.
