Hey everyone! My 5 year old light brahma hen has some troubles. Please help! I'm really l worried.

This started yesterday, but she's been fine before that. She has some green yellow and white poop stuck onto her rear fluffy feathers. When she poops, she lets out a squawk cluck, and she can't seem to get the poop out. She manages to do a little poop, which is greenish brown And sometimes watery. She stands for a little while trying to poop sometimes. She is still eating and drinking, being pretty active with the other chickens. She looks physically fine, except for her rear which has poop. Also sometimes I can hear her wheezing aittle, but only sometimes. Other than that, she's okay. Any way I can help her? Please help me, that would be really appreciated! Thanks!! :)

Hi :welcome

Glad you could join the flock! Sounds like she may have vent gleet (Nasty chicken butt) here is an article on vent gleet ~ https://www.backyardchickens.com/a/vent-gleet-aka-nasty-chicken-butt

Also have you checked that she does not have an egg stuck? Or has she been laying as normal ? Egg binding can affect older hens. Has she been wormed? For further help please do drop by the emergencies section ~ https://www.backyardchickens.com/f/10/emergencies-diseases-injuries-and-cures

Good luck with her and I hope she is back to full health soon :fl
