Hi, I tried to identify the cause of death, and sorry if I gave some informations that might be random.

One of my chicken had been having a vent gleet for weeks.
I cleaned her vent gleet last week, and she went back to normal.
Then, last night she started being lethargic since last night. She didn’t go back to the coop, and I need to carried her in.
This morning she didn’t went out from the coop, and I checked she just laid egg, and there was a vent gleet.
So, I tried to showered her with warm water.
She had a little limp since couple weeks ago. She didn’t move, and did not want to eat and drink.
I was worried, and researched vent gleet shouldn’t cause her to die, and just carried her back to her coop.
Couple hours later, I checked and she already dead. I attached the photo before I carried her to the coop for the last time.

I am also worried with my another hen who shared the same coop. Currently, I put the another adult hen with my other 4 pullets (12 weeks old).
Is it fine to put 5 of them together? This surviving hen is more gentle and friendly with the pullets.
Or should I just put her by herself on the old coop? Hopefully it is not a disease that will make others chicken sick as well.

Thank you.

I'm sorry about your hen. Without a necropsy/diagnostics, it would be hard to know why she died.

Does the other hen have any symptoms of not feeling well, a discharge from the vent, etc.?
If she's not acting sick and she's getting along with the pullets, I don't see why you can't leave them all together.
