I only held her so people would only hear her sound. She’s puffed up and laying down, not sure if it’s coccidiosis. None of them made that noise before eitherThat sounds like a normal chicken noise to me. She's just letting you know you've got her in your lap and she is aware of it. We'll see what others say- but many of my hens make the same noise, usually when I'm holding them.
I was trying to see if she had something stuck in her crop, she was making that same noise in the coop without being touched.It looks like you were rubbing close to her crop while she was bocalizing, and that might have made some crop contents come up in her throat a bit, making it sound different. We can actually make them regurgitate if they have a full crop after eating and drinking, so we have to be careful.
