I have several finches and canaries in a very large aviary. I have never liked how easily the birds dirty their water. I want to have fresh water daily, but I would like to have an alternative in case I was unable to change their water that day (getting called into work unexpectedly) and also it would stay cleaner using the nipples. I would not be using these so that I don't have to change their water. Mainly using them so they can not soil their water.Also, I thought about hooking it up to our drinking water, obviously decreasing the water pressure. I would also have to have an overflow area in case something broke so that it didn't flood the house!
Any suggestions??
Has anyone tried this before?
Would the finches be strong enough to use these?
