I have an old silkie rooster and this morning I noticed he was acting strange and lethargic. He was moving his neck up and down and opening and closing his beak. Upon closer inspection, I could see that there was a strange foam in his mouth and his feathers around his head were soaking wet.

PLEASE HELP!

I can't really check his crop because he gets scared when I try and catch him bet he has been eating and drinking.

I can't get very good pictures but basically the feathers around his head are wet with saliva and there is foam coming out of the corners of his mouth and every time he opens his beak it's filled with foam.

Tonight when he is one the roost sleeping might be a good time to feel of his crop, check for overall weight loss, and a general exam all over. It sounds more like a crop problem, but some plants may cause drooling.
