HELP! CHICKENS ATTACKED LAST NIGHT

I went to my coop this morning to find 8 hens & 1 roosters attacked. The coop has chicken wire on the walls, ceiling and doors. They all had neck injuries but I didn't see puncture wounds. None of them were eaten. One of my girls necks was almost snapped off! I love my chickens. What happened? Please help. I have been crying all morning because I feel like I let my girls & my rooster down. Its my job to feed & protect them.

More than likely it was one of two things . Either it was a weasel or a skunk somehow pushed through. I think the most likely is a weasel since they can squeeze through a space the size of a quarter. the best thing to do to get rid of them is to either use a live trap, get a good dog, or get a Large tomcat. i would suggest the large tomcat as they will tear a weasel up if it gets a hold of it and the smell should keep it away. I hoe this has helped .
