You are being responsible, your neighbor is being an idiot! My critters belong in my yard, and it's my responsibility to see that they stay there. I feel bad for those chickens, and hope things work out for them.

I’ve noticed we have small rodents in our backyard squirrels,mice,groundhogs etc. any recommendations to be able to raise my birds safely thank you for any advice Laurelton, p.a.

Diane, why don't you start a new thread about this?
We all have many critters in our environments, and the key is building a predator proof coop, and as safe a run as possible, and then dealing with trouble as it happens.
You will also have raccoons (the worst!), opossums, rats, foxes, dogs, and raptors. Mice are a pain, but the least of it.
