Separate them from the rest of your flock. We have two hens that have feather picking habit. What do I do?
It was just the muffs and beards but now it is going down alot farther. Is the main part of the neck bare, or are they plucking muffs and beards?
They get 20 percent protein feed from a local feed mill. They have a big coop. They also have a large pen.Separate them from the rest of your flock.
What exactly are you feeding them, percentage of protein?
How much space do they share with how many other birds?
Could you post some pictures of your coop and run?

I have researched pinless peepers but our hens nostrils are narrow and it is hot and dusty here.Do they have enough space? Do an on site search on Pin Less Peepers they can be used to stop and sometimes correct this bad habit.
Thank you for the pictures, so space and feed seem to not be the problem. They get 20 percent protein feed from a local feed mill. They have a big coop. They also have a large pen.
