My 5 week old chicks ate poop. I was taking them outside for a few hours and one of them got a hold of a nasty clump of grass held together by- you guessed it- poop. I tried to get it from her but by the time I caught her she’d already swallowed it. Does this guarantee that she’ll get coccidiosis? If so, should I start corrid?
Thanks

I'd be more worried about the grass causing an impaction. I bet they've eaten a lot more poop than you've noticed. Besides, they need to be exposed to some coccidia to build immunity.

I make sure to place them in areas of the lawn with short grass as to not cause impacting :)
Thank you so much for reassuring me!
