- Chicks are Wyandottes & EE's hatched from my own healthy flock.

- Everyone's acting normal, active, digging around and eating/drinking normally. No weight loss.

- No injuries, the babies are all kept in a closed brooder.

- Chicks are eating/drinking normally. Feed is "Poultry Feed", same feed I raised my last 3 batches of chicks on. Fresh spring water from the faucet.

- most of the poo has normal consistiency but some of it looks normal with watery blood in it. not bright red but pale pink to pink in color.

- I am a little worried it might be Cocci so I started Sulmet tonight and am planning on finishing the treatment.

- The bedding is fine white shavings, very fluffy and small.

The only possible cause of illness I can think of is that they had dirty shavings for a few days because I couldn't get to the feed store until today. They're in a double brooder and the older chicks on the other side seem fine and have no blood in the poo. The older chicks free range everyday though so they weren't stuck on dirty shavings.

Any help is Very appreciated. I am not sure it's cocci but i wanted to start the treatment right away to avoid losing any birds.
