Okay, it seems like such an easy thing to figure out, but how do you clean out your smaller coops? My coop is about 4x4 and is on stilts with fencing around the bottom. Half the coop floor is chicken wire so when they roost, the poop goes through the wire. But it's not all going through, AND they're pooping on the other half of the coop as well. It's been really cold out lately, and I'm bordering 6 months pregnant. I guess I just got lazy, I shop-vac'd the coop. So... how do I clean it out now? Do you guys get a broom specifically for the coop and sweep it all out through the wire and clean it up off ground? Or do you push the poop through and sweep up the rest (shavings)? It seems like such a simple thing, but for now my preggo brain can only get as far as the shop vac. I think my partner is just laughing at me when I go out to clean now too.
