Help, Coccidiosis

Make sure you keep her on corid for at least 5 days. Some people recommend 7 days. Make up new solution every day. Do not give any vitamins while dosing with corid. You caught it early, she should be fine. Keep us posted!
Thank you! I will keep on with the corid, all the chicks are currently on it to be safe. It just make sme nervous to see her perk up then get lethargic again.

I already have an update! She is doing much better. I believe my mistake was not giving her medicated water through a dropper, to make sure she was getting it, every few hours. I was assuming since she was acting fine this afternoon she was getting medicine through the waterer. I will continue to give her medicine one on one (and leave it in the waterer). Thanks for the help!

Wanted to update everyone, I really appreciate all of the good advice and help. All but one of my 7 ladies seem to be doing much better, one is not doing well at all. I am still conflicted about what is going on. I am going to take the suggestion to worm them now that we have finished the course of Corid. The hard part will be getting all of them so I can administer the worming medicine, I will wait until they go in at night. Our Orpingtons are good with being handled, the Barred Rocks are NOT.

I am still seeing everything from firm stools to liquid. With 7 ladies it is hard to tell who is doing what. I am completely stumped.
The 5 that were laying are still not laying as they were before. We are averaging 1 egg every day to two days. We were averaging 4. Our two new ladies are not laying yet.

I am going to pull the one who is still not doing well at all and put her in our small coop. That way I can give her specialized attention. I am really questioning whether we are dealing with Cocci at this point. After the worming, if I don't see normal stools from all, I will try the Cyclines with ascorbic acid.

I'm having a similar problem w/mine. Out of six, two of my hens still have runny stools. I'm on my 5th day of corid. I'm going to dose for 7 days. I gave them all Safeguard befor I started the Corid. So I'm wondering what's goin on as well..

I kept mine on Corid for 7 days. Just took them off yesterday. I am also adding electrolytes to their water today, as that was suggested, once the corid treatment was finished. I am completely stumped. We just cannot afford vet bills at this point or I would simply go that route.
