Help! Cockerel caught in trap! *ASAP*

I have no idea how long he was in the trap without food or water. He is probably exhausted, but is this a good or bad sign?
(He is laying down closing his eyes. But they open and he lifts his head every once in a while.)

Rat traps (the traditional ones) tend to snap back with a lot of force. They can actually break fingers. Chicken bones are hollow and pretty fragile so I would just assume it's broken and wrap it accordingly.

Clean the wound really good with chlorhexidine, vetericyn, or betadine. Apply Neosporin (no pain killer) and wrap it.

If he is later putting weight on it I'd take everything off and just keep it clean and keep an eye on it. Hope this helps!
